International Traveling Video Festival1996 marked the inaguration of the NAP Video Festival, an opportuntiy for artists from around the globe, involved in electronic media, to exhibit work at a several prime venues. Traditionally the Festival has its month-long premiere in Philadelphia and moves on for runs in New York City, and a number of Pennsylvania cities and other locations in the U.S. The videos are displayed in formal gallery settings, stimulating a cross-fertilization of the arts. Catagories for videos are narrative, experimental, and documentary. Videos are selected by a panel of three internationally known jurors from works that are entered to the New Arts Video Festival. Submissions have poured in from as far as Japan. Each year public screenings in 4 or more metropolitan areas are presented for best in narrative, experimental and documentary categories. All videomakers are invited to enter the competition in any of the three catagories. Video artists wishing to participate can download application form. There is a $30 entry fee for each entry, for return of video include $3 and written request for return. Entries for Festival, accompanied by application and entry fee, must be postmarked by 12/16/06 to be eligible. Any number of entries may be submitted.
